Archives I presume?
In the run-up to the independence of Congo, the Congolese political parties sprung up like mushrooms. Only a few parties were successful among the masses, amongst others the M.N.C. of later first Prime Minister of the Republic of the Congo, Patrice Lumumba. A hero to some, hated by others. "Some people see him as a little Hitler and, personally, I am convinced that he is a 100 % Communist and that his methods are those who taught him the Communists". The Cold War was also tangible in Congo. Received letter, 1960.
